Abstract
The effect of pH on preparation of aluminum hydroxide gel was studied on the aging process and polymorphorism, and the following result was obtained.
1. The pH on preparation effected acid consuming activity stability, aging velocity and polymorphorism of the precipiitates.
2. Aluminum hydroxide gel prepared at lower pH had more acid consuming activity adsorbed more anion, had lower aging velocity, and had more acid consuming activity at the end point of aging than that prepared at higher pH.
3. The precipitate from lower pH was considered to be hydrous aluminum oxide and that from higher pH hydrated hydrous aluminum oxide, polymorphorisical difference was seem between the two precipitates.
